Parga is the jewel in the crown of the Epirus coast, the Greek Riviera and these two newly built villas situated a stone’s throw from the glorious crescent of sandy beach at Valtos overlooking the picturesque Pargos Bay are worthy of their outstanding location.
Each villa has two bedrooms, a double on the first floor with its own en suite bathroom and magnificent views across the bay from its private balcony, and a twin on the ground floor with separate shower room. The comfortably furnished open plan lounge/dining room with fully fitted kitchen opens onto a terrace and private swimming pool with a barbecue area.
Parga itself is an attractive resort but is also perfectly situated for exploring this historic region renowned for its unspoilt natural beauty. Quiet country roads lead up through wooded river valleys into the heart of the Pindos Mountains, where little has changed for centuries. It is said that the finest Feta cheese in all of Greece comes from these mountains and a little exploration off the beaten track will almost certainly lead to a traditional taverna next to a quiet village plateia, a corner of Greece that remains today as it was when a young Patrick Leigh Fermor travelled through the region on foot before the last war, described so graphically in his book, Roumeli.
For a holiday that combines one of the finest beaches on the western coast of Greece with exploration of a fascinating region of high mountains and secret valleys either of these two delightful villas can be highly recommended.
